Laptop Repair for Carnegie 3163
Carnegie is about 5 km north of our Bentleigh East workshop, usually 10 minutes by car, and an easy trip from the Koornang Road shops or Carnegie station. We repair all major laptop brands for Carnegie homes, students and small businesses.
Laptop Screen Replacements
A cracked or flickering screen is our most common laptop repair. We stock many replacement screens, so a lot of these jobs are completed the same day. Labour is $100 plus the panel, and we confirm the exact part for your model before you pay anything.
Slow Laptops, Upgrades and Windows 11
If your laptop takes ages to start or is still on Windows 10, which stopped receiving security updates in October 2025, we can usually fix both. An SSD upgrade and a clean Windows 11 installation, where your hardware supports it, gives most laptops several more years of use.
Laptop Repair in Carnegie: Common Questions
Is it worth bringing my laptop from Carnegie?
Carnegie is about 5 km from our Bentleigh East workshop, roughly a 10 minute drive. Most repairs are done the same day when parts are in stock, so you usually only need one trip to drop off and one to collect.
What does a diagnostic cost if I don't know what's wrong?
A standard diagnostic is $70. We find the actual fault, then give you a fixed quote before any repair goes ahead. If you decide not to proceed, you only pay for the diagnostic.
Can you make an older laptop faster?
Usually, yes. Swapping an old hard drive for an SSD and doing a clean Windows 11 installation, where the hardware supports it, is the biggest single improvement for most older laptops. We copy your files across so nothing is lost.
Which laptop brands do you repair?
All the major brands, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Acer and Microsoft Surface, plus Apple MacBooks. We’ve been repairing laptops locally since 2000.
